The only opposition to a continuance apparent on the BZA came from member Robert Weinberg, who said that there was no sense in delaying.the appeal because Sprint's points of appeal "all attacked County ordinances" and, since the BZA had no power to change the ordinances, it would have to find against Sprint PCS.
Mr. Buniva's response was that Sprint had to initiate the appeal because the only remedy available to them, in light of unfavorable Zoning Administrator decisions, was to appeal to the BZA within 30 days, or else they would be prohibited from raising the issues again.
He said that Sprint's reevaluation of its proposal though, "may result in eliminating the need to address these issues," again implying that Sprint's new proposal would be accompanied by a withdrawal of their appeal.
