I can remember one year when Daddy saddled up his work horse "Old Nell" and I went to the neighbors house to find a Christmas tree. We looked and looked until we had found the perfect tree, but when I got home it had to have three feet cut off the bottom. It had looked just right when I was in the mountain, but before I got home it had gotten larger and heavier. Daddy didn't say anything except, he asked me how I ever got home with such a big tree?
