Thefts investigated

The Rappahannock Sheriffs Office is investigating the theft of a gold bracelet, alleged to have been taken from a classroom at the Rappahannock Elementary School on the night of Nov. 20. The bracelet is valued at $400. Also under investigation is the theft of $200 worth of alcoholic beverages and $80 worth of meat from the Blue Rock Inn west of Washington. According to the report, access to the building was gained through an open window. The theft occurred late on the evening of Nov. 28, or morning of Nov. 29.

Arrested for DWI

Tony William Breeden, 24, of Sperryville, was stopped on U. S. 29 and arrested by Dep. J. C. Welch. While on patrol early on the morning of Nov. 3, Dep. Welch had noticed that Breeden's truck was displaying expired license plates.

Upon stopping Breeden and interviewing him, Dep. Welch determined that he was I intoxicated and placed him under arrest.
