• The holiday season is upon us and we are happily anticipating the many special events during the next few weeks.

• The Holiday Band Concert featuring our very talented Fifth Grade, Middle School and High School Band students will be held on Thursday night, Dec. 14 at 7 at RCHS. Please plan to attend this wonderful entertaining program.

• The Band Boosters will be holding a sale on concert night as well. Members will be offering items suitable for holiday gifts to all in attendance. Please take time to browse before or after the performance.

• The Second Early American Re-enactment will be held at RCES on Thursday, Dec. 14 at 6:45 p.m. Kindergarten and second grade students and the sixth/seventh grade chorus will be performing. This special holiday event is part of the Artist in Residence Program at RCES made possible through many generous groups and individuals.

• Dec. 8 is an early release day for our school system. Schools will be dismissed at 1:40 p.m. Please mark your calendars and make the necessary child care arrangements. Report cards for students in grades three through eight will be sent home on this day as well. Please take time to discuss your child's progress and areas of concern, and then return the report cards promptly. Teachers are always willing to meet with you to discuss your child's performance, in their classes. Please call either school to schedule an appointment at RCHS
