King celebration
slated for Jan. 14
The 10th annual Martin Luther King, Jr. birthday celebration will take place Sunday, Jan. 14 at 4 p.m. at The Theatre in Washington featuring the play, "Beyond the Dream to Freedom", written, directed, and featuring Mrs. Mary Tinsley of Aroda, Madison County and wife of Rev. Michael Tinsley, pastor of Shiloh Baptist Church, Woodville. This play takes a light-hearted look at the life and times of King and the activities surrounding the Civil Rights Movement in the 1950' ahd 60's. ♦; The program is sponsored Pach year by the Julia E. Boddie Scholarship Committee as a fgndraiser.
