Eighteen classes are being offered this session including decorative wall finishes, watercolors, introduction to the internet, beginning welding, pottery, basketry, word processing and much more! Classes begin the week of Feb. 6; the deadline for registration is Jan. 30. These classes make great gifts, and Valentine’s Day is just around the comer! This would be a great way to remember someone you care about!
• The next School Board meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, Jan 23 at 7:30 p.m. Please mark your calendar and plan to attend. It is important that all citizens of Rappahannock participate in this very important process of educating our county's children. This is your chance to understand the system and to help make a difference.
• As was reported recently, RCES was one of the schools in Virginia that earned its SOL Accreditation this year, several years ahead of schedule. This was a tremendous effort on the part of our teachers, students, administrators, parents and support staff. Everyone involved in the education of our children should feel very proud of this accomplishment; that would include all taxpaying citizens of our county! To recognize RCES for this wonderful success, a representative from the Governor’s office was scheduled to visit RCES on Jan. 5 to congratulate the students and staff. We hope this will be reached
