County Kublic schools so far, and the new year holds many possibilities for bigger and better things during the remaining winter and spring seasons’
• On the • last Friday of 2000, our new Junior Panther Basketball Team, composed entirely of Middle School students, experienced their first major win of the season against Wakefield School in The Plains.
Coaches Gary Leake and Gary Settle are very proud of their young team, as are the rest of us. If you would like to see this new young team in action, they will play at home on Monday, Jan. 15 at RCHS at 4 p.m. This is also LeeJackson-King Day. Bring your family! Celebrate the holiday and support our middle school athletic program at the same time!
• Heartfelt gratitude and best wishes are due our recently retired Assistant Superintendent Mary Anne Biggs. Mrs. Biggs' spirit will be greatly missed in our system. She possessed such tremendous optimism and the Ability to see the value of art And music in the lives and education of our children. She Vas an inspiration to many in our system and we are all better because she was here. Many thanks, Mrs. Biggs, for your enormous contributions!
