toga classes set to begin

Yoga classes will be held on Tuesdays beginning Jan 16 at 9 a m. at the Rappahannock Healing Arts Center in Sperryville and also at locations in Culpeper and Madison Call Karen Loving at 547-2596 to register and for additional information.

A 4-H Winter Camp for 4-Her’s with previous camping experience, ages 9-14, will be held at the Northern Virginia 4-H Educational Center in Front Royal, Feb 9-11 Rappahannock will be camping with Culpeper and Shenandoah counties at this winter camp. The them is "Camp Hollywood1" and the cost for this fabulous, fun weekend is only $63

Registration is due in the Rappahannock Extension Office by Jan. 26. Space is limited for campers and teen 4-H counselors with previous training on first come, first serve basis If you are interested in attending this “star studded" 4-H camping program, contact the Extension Office at 675-3619 to request a registration package.

Ragged Mountain activities

The first activities coordinated by Ragged Mountain this year will be:

• Hike of White Oak Canyon and vicinity on Saturday. Jan. 13, meet at 9 a m. at parking lot for White Oak Canyon at end of Route 600 by turning onto Route 643 in Etlan off Route 231 (look for brown sign). Bring layered clothing and nourishment for self.

• Hike & Run Sam's Ridge Trail/Hafcel Mountain Trail loop, Sunday, Jan. 14, meet at parking lot for Oldway Art Center/Glassworks Gallery on US 211 west of Sperryville at 1 p.m. (look for footbridge). Caravan from there. For additional information call Hunt Harris Director at 987-3366.

On Friday, Jan. 19 PTO will have its next monthly meeting in the Rappahannock County Elementary School cafeteria Babysitting is provided at the meeting. All school parents, teachers and any others desiring involvement at the elementary school are welcome to attend. At 6 p.m. there will be a potluck dinner with the meeting from 7 to 8 p.m.
