In a lead photo, Herbert Barksdale, a long time friend of 4-H, hands a check for $3,000 to ^ Jan Palmer, Extension Office Secretary. The money will go to the new 4-H Center currently under construction near Front Royal. Even with Barksdale's generous contribution and a $1,000 donation from the. Rappahannock Supervisors, the county’s goal for its share of the fund drive is still a long way off.
