Mr. and Mrs. Peter Hall entertained family over Christmas. Visiting were Mrs. Gertrude Hall from Fort Myers Beach, Fla., Mr. and Mrs. Gene Waddell and Mr. and Mrs. William Hayes from Tucson, Ariz., Ms. Regina Hayes from Denver, Colo., and Mr. Michael Hall from Burlington, Canada.
Sunday guests of Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Keyser were Ms. Debbie Keyser of Winchester and Ms. Donna Beahm of Sperryville.
On Jan. 1, New Year's Day, Mrs. Florine Baldwin of Slate Mills and Wayne F. Baldwin went to see Ethel Atkins Tyner down in Fork Union and she is doing just great. Just think 105 years plus. She was standing looking out the window and knew us when we came in and talked until she was out of breath and tired.
Nia Genther of Strasburg spent Friday and Saturday with Tiffany Wayland. On Friday night the girls attended a birthday party for Megan Early and on Saturday a skating party for Elizabeth Welch.
The total rainfall for December was 2.7 inches with two inches of snow according to the Sperryville Waste Water and Treatment Plant.
