After the game Coach Leake said, The boys have been working real hard. It was good to see them get an opporturlity to experience the exhilaration of a victory. Both Coach Settle and myself were really happy for them. Maybe this first win will be a springboard for other successes the Vest of the season.
Volleyball
The girls' volleyball teams practiced hard all week only to lose out to Ole Man Winter" on Friday, Jan. 5 when bad weather canceled their trip to Manassas Park for a Bull Run District game. The game has been rescheduled for Tuesday, Jan. 23.
Wrestling
The RCHS wrestling team boarded the bus and departed the high school at 5 a m. on Saturday, Jan. 6. Their destination was Matoaca High School in Ettrick, Va. the site of a 12-team wrestling tournament. The team left at 5 a.m., wrestled all day and returned a little past 11 p.m., tired, proud and hungry — ready to get some rest before Monday's practice.
