Max van Egmond begajf his illustrious career in Amsterdam in 1949, and has since recorded and performed major roles in baroque oratorios, cantatas, and opera with virtually every important periodinstrument ensemble. He and Kenneth Slowik, who is very well known to Washington audience^ began their collaboration nearly a quarter of a century ago at Oberlin's Baroque Performance Institute.
