One of the leaders had on sweat pants under his jeans, so off they came in the cold morning air for the scout to have dry pants. A pair of dry socks were put on his feet, then a plastic bag was used to protect him from the wet boot.
Even though we have done this hike before it is always a learning experience for all of us. The mountains change with each season. Not only in looks but the storms and weather make changes too.
The Boy Scouts and their leaders all shook our hands and thanked us for a nice hike and said good-bye. They were looking forward to their modem day treat, McDonalds.
