Sarah Craun

Sarah Brown Craun, 94, of Orange died Monday, Jan. 22 at the Fauquier Hospital in Warrenton.

Born Sept. 4, 1906 in Sperryville, she was the daughter of the late Luther Warfield Brown and the late Nellie Woodard Brown.

Her husband was the late Alfonso Quintine "Jiggs" Craun.

Mrsi Craun was a retired operator for the C&P Telephone Company and a membep of Oak Chapel Baptist Church at Montford.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was also predeceased by a daughter Col. Bairbara Rae Craun.

Shej is survived by five sisters, Afnn B. Butler of New Castle,| Pa., Mae Allison and Elizabeth Poferl, both of Baltimore, Cathryn Wayland and Aline Johnson, both of Sperryville; two brothers, Lewis" Brown of Baltimore, Md. and Edward Brown of Woodville and a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were conducted on Wednesday, Jan. 24 at 2 p.m. at the Preddy Funeral Chapel in Orange by the Rev. George Sipek. Burial was in Graham Cemetery.
