All teens -- corrte to a Seize the Net party on Sunday, Feb. 11 at the Washington Baptist Fellowship Hall in Washington from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Bring your fishing hats and boots, ad be prepared to make a catch! It will be a fun occasion with games, pizza, drinks and desserts and a presentation by the Culpeper Pregnancy Center.

This True Love Waits program is being sponsored by Friends-to-Mom, a group of Christian women who promote abstinence among teens and help pregnant teens in Rappahannock County. For more information, contact April Heddleston at 987SI 37 or Marie Riedel at 675-3638.

Spring soccer registration set

Registration forms are now available at the Rappahannock Library, RCES, RCHS and on site. Registration will take place at RCHS from 4 to 8 p.m. on Feb. 3. If you are new to Rappahannock Soccer League, bring a copy of your birth certificate, this is required. Call the RSL registrar, Laura Dodd at 5472968 for more information.

Classmates to reunite for 15th

The Rappahannock County High School graduating class of 1986 is gearing up for their 15 year class reunion in June of 2001. If you are a graduate of 1986 or know of anyone that graduated in that year, contact Elaine McCabe Kramer at 675-3625 or Marlina Jenkins Lee at 937-6035. ’Don't miss catching up on what everyone is doing, come join the fun,' said an organizer.

4-H members invited to dance

Rappahannock County 4-H members are invited to attend a teen dance (for teens ages 13 and up) on Feb. 2 at the Culpeper Middle School from 7 to 11 p.m. Tickets are available at the Rappahannock County Extension Office, $3 for singles, $5 per couple. Tickets will also be available at the door. A 4-H member can invite two guests. There will be great music by a D.J. and refreshments will be provided.

Ragged Mountain activities set

Upcoming activities for February at Ragged Mountain Resource Center include the following:

Wednesday evening, Feb. 7: Moonlight Hike of Old Rag Mountain. Meet at Upper Parking lot at end of Route 600 in Nethers (Weakley Hollow) by 6 p.m. Bring layered clothing and nourishment for self. Return time ? Hike Leader: Hunt Harris.

Saturday, Feb. 10: Hike of Robertson Mountain. Meet r.t Mountainside Market, US 211 west of Sperryville between 8 and 8:30 a.m. or at parking area at end of Route 600 near Syria past White Oak Canyon parking area (Berry Hollow). Bring layered clothing and food for self. Return mid-to-late afternoon. Hike Leader: Hunt Harris.

Future programs include: Tree Planting; Old Dump Site Clean-ups; River and Stream Clean-ups; Quick Response Citizen Task Force establishment* and training; Overnight Campouts; Intensive Conditioning Hike-Runs.

Winter's night pasta dinner set

Mountain Lagrel Montessori School in sponsoring a pasta dinner at the New Fraternal Order of Eagles Lodge in Front Royal on Saturday, Feb. 10 from 5 to 8:30 p.m. The dinner will be $7 and includes hot and cold beverages, salad, choice of pasta, bread and desserts. There will also be a bake sale and door prizes. Several children from Rappahannock attend Mountain Laurel. For more information call 675-2094.

Soccer referee classes forming

Spring season sign-ups to begin

Rappahannock Athletic Association will be conducting their spring season basebaH, softball and tee ball sign-ups the first three weekends in February.

Feb. 3 and Feb. 17 sign-ups will be held at Bill Payne Auctions on US 211 in Amissville. On Feb. 10 sign-up will be held at the Rappahannock Library. Times each day will be from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. Fees are $35 for players five to 12 years old; $40 for players 13 to 16 and $50 for girls 17 to 18 interested in beginning an 18 and under softball team. There is a $5 per child discount for multiple sign-ups from the same family.

Computer course offered at LFCC

Computer Fundamentals, a course designed for students that need an overview of computer with hands-on experience will be offered at Lord Fairfax Community College's Middletown Campus.

The course will be divided into three parts: introduction to computers, getting started with Windows and an introduction to Microsoft Word. Upon completion of this course, the student win be able to create, edit, save and print documents. The course win be offered Feb. 10.17 and 24 from 8:30 a.m. to noon.

A session has also been scheduled for April 14, 21 and 28 from 8:30 a.m. to noon. Two 3.5* high density diskettes will need to be purchased and brought to the first dass session. For additional information or to register, contact the College at 868-7000
