This year’s St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital’s Wheels for Life Bike-a-Thon will be held May 9 at the Caledonia Farms Road in Flint Hill. Volunteer workers and riders are needed to raise funds for childhood cancer. Riders are sponsored per mile completed.
Twenty students from Rappahannock County were named to the honor roll at Wakefield School in Marshall during the third quarter of the current school year.
In a photo, Jason Waters and Nina Stamer won the Eva Smith memorial trophies for being the first man and woman from Rappahannock the finish the annual Fodderstack 10-K Race. Pictured with them were Patrick O’Connell and Reinhardt Lynch, whose business, The Inn at Little Washington was the race’s major sponsor. More than 200 runners participated this year.
