Ethel Mae Atkins Tyner, 106, formerly of Sperryville died in Fork Union on Thursday, April 25.
She was born June 17, 1895, daughter of the late James A. and Atkins and Frances Virginia Johnson Atkins.
In addition to her parents, she was also predeceased by a son, David Craig Tyner.
Survivors include her daughter-in-law, Jenny Blodgett Tyner of New Canton; a granddaughter, Brenda Wray and her husband Bryant; three great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren and a foster son, William Woodard.
Funeral services were conducted on Saturday, April 27 at Bethel Baptist Church in Palmyra, Va. with the Rev. Buddy Woodson officiating.
Interment followed in the church cemetery.
Thacker Brothers Funeral Home in Scottsville wras in charge of the arrangements.
