The Rappahannock County Garden Club will once again offer the Francis J. Leonard Memorial Scholarship to a senior in Rappahannock County for the purpose of continuing his or her education.

A grant of $1,500 will be awarded to a student enrolling in a four year college or university, $1,000 will be given the first year and $500 in the second year.

An applicant must be a resident of Rappahannock County, a member of this year's graduating class • home schooled or other schools) be accepted at an accredited four year school, have a need for financial assistance and be recommended by three non-related residents of Rappahannock County.

The Rappahannock Garden Club will also offer a scholarship grant in memory of Mary' P. Marocchi this year. This grant was given by Rear Admiral J. Marocchi and family.

Mrs. Marocchi was trained as a registered nurse and served in the United States Navy during World War II. She was discharged
