Dog Day Afternoon set
The Rappahannock Animal Welfare League presents the second annual Dog Day Afternoon on Saturday. May 11 from 12 to 5 p.m. at Windsor Lcxlge Farm near Flint Hill.
Planned activities include Agility Fun Run Ring; The Show Off Ring; Performing Pets Ring; Terrier Races, RAWL Alumni Reunion and new this year will be Coursing Competitions. Refreshments will be available and Hog Wild BBQ and Catering will be selling food. Cost is $5 per person and children 12 and under will be admitted free. For more information call 636-3308.

Havura Ktana to meet
Rabbi Carla Theodore recently announced that Havura Ktana will meet Sunday, May 5 at 130 p.m. at the Rappahannock County Library. Tree Bresson, a Professional Facilitator from Oregon, will help navigate the thorny and painful topic of what's happening now between Israel and the Palestinians. Havura Ktana is a friendship circle for Jews and their friends interested in exploring and deepening their relationship to Judaism. Non-Jews are welcome to attend the meeting
Spring Forest QiGong offered
The Rappahannock Healing Arts Center is offering the opportunity for anyone interested in learning and practicing Spring Forest QiGong to join the group for a regular presentation and practice of the course materials. The course materials are being presented as a service to the community, however a small donation is requested from each participant to cover the costs of using the building and facilities. The group will meet on Wednesdays at either 10:30 a.m. or 7 p.m. beginning May 8 at the Rappahannock Healing Arts Center, 1194 Lee Highway, Sperryville.
Bake sale/garage sale set
On Saturday, May 4, the Relay for Life cancer walk teams will hold a bake sale and garage sale at the Rappahannock High School from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Everyone is invited to enjoy this fun Call Michelle at 675-3157 with any questions. All proceeds will benefit the American Cancer Society.

Super Pantry course offered
“Super Pantry for Mom and Me" sponsored through a partnership between Virginia Cooperative Extension and Blue Ridge Food Bank will be held at Washington Baptist Church beginning May 21 for seven weeks from 9:30 a.m. to 1 30 p m
