The RCHS girls track team,. led by Ryisha Cook with five first-place finishes, defeated Clarke County, 74-52, in a dual meet on April 2.

Cook shattered her previous 100m dash record of 12.3 seconds with an 11.9 second effort. Cook also won the 200m dash (26.4 seconds), the long jump (15-ft., 5.5-inches), the triple jump (35-ft., 7.5-inches) and ran the anchor leg on the winning 4 x 100 relay team (57.1 seconds).

Mattie Nawrocki contributed 11 points to the victory with a win in the 100m high hurdles (17.7 seconds) and secondplace finishes in the long jump (13-ft., 7.5-inches) as well as the triple jump (29-ft., 7.75inches).

Nawrocki, Samantha Brown, and Jami Jacobs rounded out the winning 4 x 100 relay team. Anna Kreyling ran to a victory in the 400m run with a time of 1:16.6 seconds and her 4-ft., 6-inch leap in the high jump earned her a first-place tie.
