Weather was the big winner for this past week’s athletic contests. Of 14 contests scheduled only two soccer contests were played.
The JV boys’ soccer team lost a close match to Timber Ridge School After a 1-1 first half, the match was closely contested in the second half
Unfortunately the Panthers were unable to prevent Timber Ridge from getting the winning goal late in the second half. The loss dropped the team’s record to 0-2-1 on the season.
The varsity boys' soccer team was able to play its match with Strasburg on Friday as they soundly defeated the Rams 16-0.
Ralph Pace scored nine times for the Panthers, tying a state record for goals in a game by an individual player.
Jose Azevedo had two goals for the Panthers while five other players scored.
