Rappahannock residents have become increasingly supportive of the new bus system, the Rappahannock Express, which has been in operation for three weeks.
The Virginia Regional Transportation Association, the company that operates the bus, has reported a significantly higher number of riders in the first three weeks of service here than they have seen in any other rural community during the same period of time.
The goal of the bus committee is to make every citizen aware of the bus, its schedule, and the possibilities of how the bus can be utilized.
Due to a number of requests, the Rappahannock Library is now a stop along the route. This started on Monday, April 14.
The VRTA has presented a charming “Bus Stop” sign. These signs will be located at every location where the bus stops in the coming weeks.
