'SpringEvent’ on April 26

The Washington Baptist Church will hold its annual “Spring Event Fundraiser" on Saturday, April 26 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the same time as the Fodderstack 10K Race. There will be a huge yard sale inside the church Fellowship Hall and a bake sale and hot dog/hamburger lunch on the courthouse grounds. To donate items for the sale, contact the church office at 675-3336. Proceeds go toward the church building fund. Everyone is invited.

Beginning weaving class

Weave a scarf in a day—this is a one day introduction to weaving for beginners or those who think they might be interested in trying a floor loom on Saturday, April 26 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Misty Mountain Fiberarts Studio in Amissville. Cost for workshop is $50 and includes all materials and lunch. Call 937-4707 for more information.

Amissville yard sale

The Amissville United Methodist Women will hold a yard sale on Saturday, May 3 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Route 211 in Amissville. All proceeds will benefit the new kitchen proposed in the church building fund. For more information, call 987-8819.
