Regional commission meets

Amissville dance April 19
The Amissville Volunteer Fire & Rescue Company will hold a dance on Saturday, April 19 from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. at the fire department. Music is by Southern Action.
Extended hours
The Rappahannock County Commissioner of Revenue Office has extended office hours now through the tax season.
The office will be open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. through May 1 to assist with income tax forms, personal property forms and Tax Relief for the Elderly. For additional information call 675-5370.
Parenting classes on teens
A parenting workshop on how to raise teenagers and communicate freely with them will be held on Wednesdays through May 14, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Rappahannock County Library. The six-week workshop is sponsored by the Department of Social Services at no cost to parents. Advance registration is required. Dog food, supplies needed
Cadette Girl Scout Troop #590 is sponsoring a drive for the Rappahannock Animal Welfare League (RAWL). It needs canned dog food (no dried), dog bones, chew toys, towels, shampoo, leashes and collars. The scouts request that supplies for dogs be placed in the RAWL boxes at the Rappahannock Farmers’ Coop, Hackley's Store, Horse & Hound and Settle’s Grocery. Envelopes are available at these sites for monetary donations.
