In other Ibwn Council activities:
• The council distributed final draft copies of the revised Ibwn Zoning Ordinance, and scheduled a council work session on the ordinance and on the FY2004 town budget for April 23 at 7:30 p.m.
• On a motion by Jeff Benson, seconded by Claudia Mitchell, the council responded in the affirmative to Mayor Leggett’s question regarding the issuance of a request for proposals to solicit bids from firms to do soil testing on the “Clopton” property.
The soil testing would be used to ascertain the property’s suitability as a wastewater treatment system site as an alternative to the Avon Hall property.
