Rappahannock Game Warden Jim Bankston presented two proposed “hunter control” ordinances prepared by Commonwealth Attorney George Davis to the Supervisors at last Thursday’s board meeting. The ordinances, aimed at controlling illegal hunting on posted property, would make it illegal to transport a loaded rifle or shotgun in a motor vehicle.

At last Thursday’s board meeting, the Rappahannock Supervisors voted to petition the court for the right to intervene in action brought against the Board of Zoning Appeals by the Rappahannock Ski Corporation.

The School Board voted Tuesday night to solicit bids from architectural firms for the addition at the elementary school. The bidaare due May 10. The proposed budget for next year includes $82,000 for architect’s fees.
