The Virginia Board of Historic Resources and the State Review Board will hold their next quarterly joint board meeting Wednesday, Sept. 10 at the Valentine-Richmond History Center at 10 a.m.
The Board of Historic Resources will consider 22 properties for addition to the Virginia Landmarks Register (VLR). Established in 1966, the VLR is the state's official list of properties important to Virginia's history.
The scheduled new nominations include, from the capital region:
Fine Creek Mills Historic District, Powhatan County; Mason-Tillet House, Brunswick County; and Recoleta, City of Charlottesville. Nominations from the Portsmouth Region are: Cessford, Northampton County; Monumental Methodist Church, City of Portsmouth; St. Matthews Church, Essex County; St. Peters Episcopal Church, Westmoreland County; Vincent House, Southampton
