Both the council and commission determined that the document could be adopted and such an ordinance added at a later date.
Prior to the adjournment of the joint portion of the meeting, council member Claudia Mitchell suggested that the commission draft a tree ordinance and send it to the council for approval.
The Town Council, having approved the zoning alterations, then adjourned, as did the Planning Commission shortly thereafter. The council’s next meeting will take place Wednesday, Sept 10 at 7:30 p.m.
