Boy, did I want to say something to her and her boss. But then they would come up with a dozen reasons why such an aggressive person was “unfit” for a permit. So I left.

The real point here is that this sort of non-responsive government at the county level is almost insurmountable. You can bet I will try to affect county politicians who allow this to happen.
Were these anti-gun licensers at the state level they would be even more remote. Were they at the federal level, they might as well be headquartered on the moon.
Remember this as federal licensing of dog breeders or state licensing of exotic animals is proposed “to get more information” or to “keep track” of something.
Licensing and permitting should be simplified and government requirements kept at the lowest levels, to minimize taxes and government control of our daily lives, and permit the free flow of a free society.
Too often, licensing and permits only build bureaucracies, increase taxes and government control to no good purpose, and much too often implement the hidden agendas of bureaucrats and organizations.
So I can hardly wait foru^ online hunting licenses next year. I’m sure all the antihunters in the state and federal agencies will dream up information “needs” that will ultimately discourage hunting, just as my county government hopes to discourage second / amendment rights in our county- ty
