Fuemeisen, Douglas Grover, Bradlee Frye and Michael Avjean all had singles. Dylan Hitt and Travis Pullen hit triples and Ben Willson hit an infield homerun. Evan Hitt caught a pop fly in the bottom of the sixth to end the game. These eight year olds are really playing some great ball.
The other Rookie team had two games as well. Assistant Coach Brent Wilson said his team is improving, winning against Taylor on Thursday.
Rapp 1 won the second game, 4-0, against North 3. Tyler Wilson hit a double and made several outs at first base Bobby Shuck hit a double and drove in a run. Grace Lezcano, Corey Massey, Caleb Ijody and Andrew Lambdin all had hits.
The Babe Ruth 13-year-old Prep team played a double header against the Ix»udoun Blue Jays. Chase Tupper and Nathan Crop pitched the first game, but the Rapp team came up short by a score of 3-2. The second game was just as close with Travis Jenkins pitching.
