The Flint Hill Baptist Church will have a homecoming service on Sunday, Oct. 12 at 11 a.m.
Guest speaker for the service will be the former pastor, the Rev. Robert O. Goff. A covered dish dinner will follow at the fire hall. Everyone is welcome.
The Flint Hill Ladies Auxiliary will meet at the fife hall for its monthly meeting on Monday, Oct. 6 at 7 p.m. All members are urged to attend.
The Administrative Council of the Flint Hill United Methodist Church held its business meeting at its social building, the former Major’s Station on Thursday evening.
Those present were The Rev. Merlin Shorb, Bud Corder, Tom Davis, Harriet Davis, Mabel Lillard, Mary Curtis, Barbara Jamieson, Mary Frances Bywaters, Shelby Welch, M. H. Brady, Ester Settle and Libby Bennett.
Refreshments were served following the meeting, with an evening of fellowship.
Homecoming services were held on Sunday at the Flint Hill United Methodist Church with the Rev. Jim Grimmer, former pastor of the Charge from 1962 through 1966 delivering the message.
A covered dish dinner was held at the fire hall following the service. Jim and his wife, Anne, of Lexington were welcomed by all present. It was a pleasure to have them back. The Grimmers were Saturday
