BOARD OF SUPERVISORS AND PLANNING COMMISSION RAPPAHANNOCK COUNTY, VIRGINIA Pursuant to Sections 170-108.5, 170-108 6, 170-108.16 and 170129 of the Rappahannock County Code and Section 15.2-2204 of the 1950 Code of Virginia, as amended, notice is hereby given that the Planning Commission for Rappahannock County, Virginia, will hold a public hearing at their regular meeting on WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 15, 2003 AT SEVEN-THIRTY IN THE EVENING AT THE RAPPAHANNOCK COUNTY COURTHOUSE in Washington, Virginia, to consider its recommendation to the Board of Supervisors on the following application: Application for a Personal Wireless Services Facilities Use Permit PWSFUPemiit #030901 Application by Sprint PCS to modify the previously approved 80' monopole Category 4 facility to utilize a stealth design to camouflage the monopole structure as a tree, which is referred to as a “monopine'’ and will therefore be a Category 2 facility, on property (referred to as “Welch Slope") owned by Arland F. Welch on Tax Map 21, Parcel 35, zoned “A"-Agricultural and ‘C'-Conservation, on Zachary Taylor Highway in Flint Hill, Wakefield District. The antennas will be hidden by “branches" and the pole will De covered with a simulated “bark" material in order to appear as the “trunk" of the “tree”. The location of the previously approved monopole remains unchanged. Moveover, the height of the structure will remain 80 feet as previously approved. Use allowed and regulated under Article XII, Section 170108.1, et seq. of the Rappahannock County Code. A copy of the foregoing application is on file at the Zoning Office in Washington, Virginia, and is available for public inspection, Monday through Friday, 8:30AM to 4:30PM. The Planning Commission may adjourn and re-convene such public hearing from time to time. The Planning Commission will announce the time, place, and date for any such continued meeting at the public meeting where the adjournment occurs. t The Board of Supervisors shall hold its hearing on the application at 7:00PM ON MONDAY, NOVEMBER 3, 2003 AT THE COURTHOUSE IN WASHINGTON, VIRGINIA unless the Planning Commission shall have failed to act, in which event their hearing(s) shall be continued until such time as the Commission shall have rendered their decision.
