Homecoming Day at the Washington Baptist Church is Sunday, Oct. 5. Rev. John Divers, a former pastor from 1955 to 1960, will be the guest preacher. His wife Mary will accompany him.

The "Sons of Praise," a Southern Gospel Trio, will offer a mini-concert at 1:30 p.m. A covered-dish luncheon follows the 11 a.m. service.

The homecoming theme is "Serving for God's Glory." All members and friends of the church are encouraged to share in this celebration.

My husband, Edward M. Clark and I thank the Lord each day for our family and being able to be together. Come Sunday, Oct. 5 Edward and I will have been married 57 years.
