Photo courtesy/Ginny Laser Students, teachers and parents at Wakefield Country Day School participated for the second year in “See You at the Pole" on Sept. 17, a national day of student prayer which began 14 years ago and has attracted involvement by schools from 50 states and several countries. It was initiated last year when WCDS students gathered to “pray for peace." The ceremony has been led both years by the Rev. Jon Heddleston, pastor of Reynolds Memorial Baptist Church, Sperryville, whose wife is a teacher at WCDS and their two children are students at the school.
