Numerous activities are planned involving local business members and community groups in the weeks preceding the race.
Kicking off the Fall Festival is the Art Show and Silent Auction of original Gold Cup works of art and signed prints at local banks. Included in the show are original works by Anita Baams, Loretta Dovell Bailey, Fay Moore and Sandra Forbush.
Artwork currently is being displayed at the Fauquier Bank branches in Warrenton, Old Town Manassas, Catlett and The Plains and at Farm Credit in Warrenton and Leesburg.
The art show is just the first in a number of events to celebrate the Fall Festival including, a 5K Fun Run at Great Meadow on Oct. 5, Library Reading Days
