the calendar
controversy by

Recently as I jogged around
Yowell Park in Culpeper while my son and many other Rappahannock residents practiced youth football, I came to a simple solution to the “calendar controversy'’ — those who “don’t like the calendar, but support the cause” — put your money where your mouth is. Send in your $15 or a donation to Friends of the Track through the Rappahannock County High School. By the way, has anyone even seen the calendar yet?

If the School Board wants to
take a moral position against the calendar then it needs to do so for all fundraisers.
How immoral is the Casino Night that is held for the Sports Association that uses the school name? The administrators, faculty and teachers as well As several citizens that attend this event go to drink alcohol and gamble and then drive home, hopefully with a designated driver.
If they are going to take that moral high ground and not accept the track money then make sure you give back all the money Casino Night raised as well.
