We should keep in mind that as equipment accumulates, maintenance requirements and required software upgrades tend to proliferate out of control.
Seems like more openness and accountability at the very least, would be welcome.
It is time for a fresh look and new ideas and I think Steve Butler will bring a more professional agenda to the department.
