RCCA meeting & dinner

RCCA will hold its annual meeting on Saturday, Nov. 15 as well as a buffet dinner honoring Rappahannock County conservation easement donors at the Belle Meade Schpolhouse, south of Sperryville. RCCA members and the public are encouraged to attend. John Fox Sullivan, publisher of the National Journal and Atlantic Monthly and himself an easement donor, will speak on land preservation in the county. Election of directors is at 5 p.m., drinks at 6 p.m. and dinner at 6:30 p.m. The charge is $20 each for members and $30 for non-members. Yoga classes

Sun and Moon Yoga Studio continues fall Yoga classes at the Belle Meade Bed and Breakfast Schoolhouse on FT Valley Road, (Route 231) until Dec. 21, (except Thanksgiving day). Drop-ins are welcome. Fees are $10 per class if attending more than six sessions; $12 for drop-ins. Classes are held from 10:30 a m.-12 noon Mondays, taught by JJ Gormley and 6-7:30 p.m. Thursdays, taught by Mary O’Meara. Lifecasting class

Rappahannock County High School Art teacher, Joy Sours, will teach Lifecasting on Saturday, Nov. 15 through the Adult Education Program.

Lifecasting creates life-size life-like sculptures through the use of molds and plaster. The artists create molds using their own hands, feet, or faces. The sculptures preserve the natural beauty of the body and, if the artist chooses, can be posed to create intriguing or amusing yet useful works of art such as bookends, candleholders, etc.
