retired in 1978. She was an avid horsewoman and a former member of the Rappahannock Hunt Club.
Mrs. Wake was also a member of the DAR Retired Teachers Association, Rockland Community Church and a friend and active member of the Samuels Public Library where she will be greatly missed by her many friends.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Dr. William L. Wake and a brother, John Booten Lauck.
Additional survivors include three nieces, Mary L. Stock of Woodbridge, Julie Lynn Moore of Reston and Debra Marie Brenkman of Ibpeka, Kansas; two nephews, John Palmer Lauck of Radiant, Va., and Dr. Gary Wake of Winchester and one sister-in-law Lola S. Leonard of Warrenton.
