The Rappahannock County Soccer Association (RCSA) thanks all the players, sponsors and volunteers for their efforts in making this season so great.
Carl Letsen has been very proud of the progress of all the players on his U-6 soccer team. Hannah Kleppinger, Maria Tteresa Sladky, Emily Scadden and Ryan Athelli have not only shown a willingness to learn but have shown a lot of potential. Look out for these up and coming athletes.
Coaches Anders Drew and Scott Schlosser’s Warrenton Subway “Panthers” went head to head with Coach Ann Pankow’s Trinity Episcopal “Panthers” last Saturday. It was a well-played game for both Rappahannock teams, showing great effort and skill.
Ben Estes and Daniel Schlosser showed great determination going after the ball. Klaire Gubler also showed confidence making great saves, as did Kayla McGhee on defense. Brittany Adams, Emily Massie and Taylor Ordile played well and showed their speed on offense. Trey Swindler scored a goal and made some good passes. This wrapped up a great season for both Rappahannock teams. We look forward to seeing how they will do during the spring.
Jeff Hazel’s U-10 team sponsored by Over Jordan Farm had two games on Saturday, Oct. 25. The first game they tied Madison 3 to 3. Tanyon Lee scored two goals and Conner Forest scored one goal. Logan Stephens and Dylan Stoner did a great job defending our goal. Derek Frank and Woody Hazel did an excellent job on offense.
The second game The “Yellow Jackets” beat Culpeper 1 to 0. Jonathan Letsen scored the only goal of the game. K.T Milam and Trevor Lee protected the goal. The Yellow Jackets had a great day. They played very hard in both games.
Here are recent highlights from Hazel’s U-10 team, Coaches Drew and Schlosser’s “Panthers” team, Coach Wallace’s U14 girls’ team and Coach Humbles’ U10 girls’ team.
Rappahannock beat Culpeper 7-0 on Oct. 18. The “Yellow Jackets” had a spectacular game. Tanyon Lee and Jonathan Letsen scored two goals. Andrew Oyster, Woody Hazel and Conner Forrest made one goal. Derek Frink, Dylan Stoner and Logan Stephens had an excellent game on offense. Trevor Lee did a wonderful job protecting our goal. Way to go Yellow Jackets.
