All items for publication in the Thursday, June 3 edition should be submitted by 3 p.m. Friday, May 28. • Rappahannock County government offices will be closed Monday, May 31 in observance of Memorial Day and will reopen Tuesday, June 1. • The Rappahannock National Bank will be closed on May 31 in observance of Memorial Day and will reopen on Tuesday, June 1. • Rappahannock County public schools and the Rappahannock County School Board will be closed on May 31 in observance of Memorial Day and will reopen on Tuesday, June 1. • On Thursday, June 3 the Rappahannock County Water and Sewer Authority will meet at 7:30 p.m. at the Rappahannock County courthouse on Gay Street in Washington.
