In the District Track Meet held May 19 at Manassas Park, the Rappahannock County High School girls’ track team was fifth and the boys sixth.
Nine of the Rappahannock track athletes will go to regionals at Monticello High School this Saturday, May 29. They will participate in 11 events.
Anna Kreyling won the high jump at four feet, 10 inches (Anna has qualified for the state by clearing five feet previously) and was sixth in the 100 meter hurdles running 18.31 seconds.
Mattie Nawrocki, in the 100 meter hurdles, was third running 17.52 seconds, third in the 300 meter hurdles, 51.26 seconds, and jumped to fourth in the triple jump at 30 feet, 9.75 inches.
Vickie Hart, in the 200 meters, was sixth with 29.62 seconds.
