Three media
styles at Middle
Street Gallery
The June show at Middle Street Gallery in Washington will feature three artists working in different media and with varying techniques. The reception for the show is June 6 from 2 to 4 p.m.
Phyllis Magrab’s recent works are inspired by her past experiences in weaving. Now she is weaving acrylic on paper and canvas into abstract, colorful compositions. They are both playful and thoughtful considerations of design issues.
June Jordan’s work is the most representational of the three. She is painting from life while finding abstract shaped and suggestions within the subject matter. Her work in this show will be in oils.
Eunice Wenger’s work is fiber collage. She makes paper and paints silk. With these she forms mixed media conceptual statements. Her ideas originate in nature, feminist thought or from reading.
The show will be open for viewing June 4 to June 27 dining gallery hours - Friday, Saturday and Sunday 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
