River Hill Farm of White Post, Va., was the main contributor to the project, donating 35 plants including four dogwoods and two redbuds. River Hill Farm is a nursery owned by Mr. and Mrs. Frank McDonald, both of whom helped plant on Thursday. Also donated by River Hill Farm were crape myrtles, snowball shrubs, burning bushes, butterfly bushes, forsythia, lilac, and spirea.

The Sperryville Emporium donated a bird bath to assist in the beautification of the land, which excited Hearthstone children who filled it with water. Goat Hill Farm, a local nursery, also pitched in, donating 10 spiderwort plants. VDOT gave
