Jami Leigh Starling received a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing May 16 from the University of Virginia.
Jami, who graduated from Rappahannock County High School in 2000, is the daughter of David and Gracie Gillis of Charlottesville.
After completion of her licensure exam, Jami plans to start work Aug. 9 at the Mayo Clinic of Rochester, Minn. She will take care of patients after surgery on a general surgery floor at Methodist Hospital.
Jami completed her four years at UVA with a cumulative GPA of 3.15.
