At 11 p.m., pizza was served. And, there were still hardy souls at breakfast Sunday morning and at the Closing Ceremonies at 8 a.m.
Fifteen of the 25 teams met the goal of raising $1,000 each. And two or three others came close. The total raised based on the 11 p.m, deadline was $47,397. The eventual total is expected to reach the goal of $50,000.
Carolyn’s Love, Laugh, and Live Team led by Carolyn Leake raised about $5,450, the most of any team. Melvin’s Crusaders led by Ellen Timbers raised about $5,068 for second place. And, Ester Settle’s Faith Warriors led by Tamara Settle raised almost $4,234 for third place. Frances Timber raised about $2,820, the largest amount for any individual.
