Rappahannock High School students Raymond Furr and Ben Verrill of teacher John Norman’s welding class brought a unique sign they have been working on for two weeks. It is to be Flatwood’s new logo portraying the recycling process.
The credit for coordinating this event goes to the Piedmont Environmental Council, a non-profit organization that works regionally and locally. PEC is involved in preserving, and restoring Virginia’s trees and environment. They do so through many means, one of which is informing land owners of the conservation options that exist for their property, including conservation easements.
