veteran to
be honored
on May 31
John A. Pullen, a pri: vate in Company B, 6th Virginia Cavalry will be honored on Monday, May 31 (Memorial Day) with the erection of a marker at his gravesite in the Pullen Cemetery on Pickerel Ridge above Old Hollow on the property of David Albee.
Pullen died in October 1920 age 76 years. His wife was the former Melinda Jane Cornwell. They made their home on Pickerel Ridge in Rappahannock where they raised their children from whom many folks in Rappahannock and surrounding counties descend.
