• On Thursday, Aug. 12, the Sperryville Volunteer Fire Company will host a parade at 7 p.m. The carnival continues through Aug. 14, on the grounds of the company, beginning at 7 p.m. each day. There will be food and fun for the whole family, and admission is free. For more information, call 987-8124. • On Thursday, Aug. 12, the Washington Architectural Review Board (ARB) will meet at 7:30 p.m. in the Town Hall on Gay Street. • On Wednesday, Aug. 18, the Rappahannock County Planning Commission will meet at 7:30 p.m. in the Rappahannock County courthouse on Gay Street.
