at a Ham Dinner given by the Castleton Community Volunteer Fire Company are: first place, Beverly Settle; second place, Marion Blake; and third place, Sherry Reid. Also presented at the dinner were a first prize of $200 to Charles Hawkins, second prize of $100 to Carroll Downing, and third prize of $50 to Howell McDermit. Douglas Bywaters, son of Mr. and Mrs. William D. Bywaters of Flint Hill, was one of the nine students from Piedmont Technical Education Center attending the VICA National Leadership Conference and United States Skill Olympics held at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta July 24 through 27. Vocational Industrial Clubs of America (VICA) is the national youth organization for trade, industrial, technical and health occupations in education for students.
